CARNIVAL DATE

Y.M.C.A. AND BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY. JOINT EFFORT TO BE MADE. Representatives of the Masterton Beautifying Society and of the Y.M.C.A. had full discussion last evening on a proposal to hold a joint carnival next year. It was agreed to co-operate, and to hold the actual carnival on Saturday, March 18, though a big effort would be made throughout that week. It was considered that March 18 would be a much more suitable date than the one previously selected in February, as it would give much more time to organise effectively.
