EKETAHUNA SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—A small yarding of dairy cattle and pigs was submitted to the usual attendance at our Eketahuna sale yesterday. Dairy cattle met with a fair demand considering the season is well advanced whilst pigs were easily saleable at best late rates. We quote: — Cattle: 2-yr. springing heifers, £7, £6 17s 6d; small do., medium quality, £5 7s 6d; springing cows, £5 10s to £7 ss; yearling heifers, £4; 2-yr. Jersey bull, £8 10s. Pigs: Porkers, best, 38s; small 29s 6d to 28s; slips, 265; weaners, good, 25s to 235.
