The Marton branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society has been advised that a covey of chukor. seven in number, was flushed cn the Waiouru Desert Road. Chukor were recently introduced into the Dominion, and inhabit high altitdues. Marton members of the committee were pleased to learn that the birds are becoming established in suitable localities.
