MAILS TO EGYPT
THE MERCURY’S COMMERCIAL FLIGHT. DEPARTURE FROM ENGLAND. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 29. Mercury, the record-breaking seaplane component of the Short Mayo composite aircraft, was launched from the back of the flying-boat Maia over Southampton Water late this afternoon on her first routine commercial flight. After a non-stop flight of 2400 miles with over a ton of Christmas mail she is expected to reach Alexandria at 6 a.m. tomorrow. ARRIVAL AT ALEXANDRIA. ALEXANDRIA, November 30. The Mercury arrived at 6.22 a.m. after a record flight of 14hrs 6min from Southampton. ______
