SAYS REPORT OF MARRIAGE IS CORRECT. LADY MOSLEY GIVES BIRTH TO SON. (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 30. Sir Oswald Mosley has announced that the report of his marriage is cor-
rect. ~e added that Lady Mosley gave birth to a son last Saturday. The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press reported on November 27 that Sir Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Union of Fascists, was married on December 4, 1937, to Diana, sister of the Hon Unity Free-man-Mitford, a personal friend of Herr Hitler. The correspondent added that a reception was held in a room in Herr Hitler’s private offices in the Fuehrerhaus in Munich. Herr Hitler was best man and the Lord Mayor of Munich, Herr Karl Fiehler performed the marriage ceremony, and filed the certificate privately in the City Hall. The British Union of Fascists has issued a statement on November 28 denying that Sir Oswald Mosley was married to the Hon Diana FreemanMitford. The statement affirmed that the Munich document “does not exist or is a forgery.” An Independent Cable Service message from Berlin stated that Herr Hitler was best man at the wedding.
