TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
SHOW BY GARDEN CIRCLE. Many choice flowers were displayed at a show organised by the Garden Circle of the Townswomen’s Guild, held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall this afternoon. The hall was filled with blooms of excellent quality, which gave a splendid indication of the enthusiasm of the circle members and the success they have achieved in the culture of flowers. Not only was there a wide variety of cut blooms of great attraction but there were also many beautiful examples of decorative floral art, such as artistic tables, becoming hats, pretty shoulder sprays and bouquets. cleverly arranged sand posies and miniature gardens. Another exhibit to draw considerable attention was a Dutch windmill. The shew, which was a non-competitive one, reflected great credit on those responsible.
