Sir Henry Page Croft, in a speech to the Empire Industries” Associations commented on the utter folly of nothing naving been done to stimulate the movement of capital to the Dominions. Britain- had given a loan of ten millions to Czechoslovakia, but quibbled over substantial assistance for the promotion of the Dominions, Who were her best customers. The Duke of Buccleuch said he hoped it was not too late to reverse the policy of foreign investment in preference to investment in the Dominions.
