COSY THEATRE
“SNOWED UNDER.” “Snowed Under,” a rollicking First National comedy romance with a New England setting, will be shown at the Cosy Theatre tonight bringing together a leading man and three leading women, all of whom are top notch Hollywood stars in their own right. George Brent has the lead, while the feminine trio is composed of Genevieve Tobin, Glenda Farrell and Patricia Ellis. The hilarious comedy situations show a handsome young playwright snowbound in a Connecticut farmhouse with two ex-wives and a new sweetheart, a lovelorn lawyer and a romantic sheriff. Brent has the role of the playwright who has promised a drama to a New York producer, but is unable to get an idea for his final act. Genevieve Tobin, in the role of his first wife, now divorced, goes to Brent’s retreat to help him out. The second big feature will be “Man of Iron.” Barton Mac Lane has been given an opportunity to show his talent for characterisation in the chief role, and he acts the part exceptionally well. Others in the cast who do notable work are Dorothy Peterson, Mary Astor, Joseph Crehan, Craig Reynolds, Joseph King, John Qualen, Joseph Sawyer, Florence Fair and Edward Keene.
