PRE-WEDDING FUNCTION

f (“Times-Age” Special.) A pleasant function took place in the Methodist Sunday School Room, Greytown, last night when guests of the evening were Miss B. Haigh and Mr M. Maddison, who are to be married on Saturday. During the evening games and competitions were engaged in. After supper Mr Harkness spoke in glowing terms of their guests, both of whom were valued members of the church. Miss Haigh was presented with a fancy tray and crystal vase, and Mr Maddison received a shaving set. Mr Maddison thanked Mr Harkness for his remarks and expressed thanks for the gifts presented to Miss Haigh and himself. The gathering concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
