BOOTH CUP AND SHIELD COMPETITIONS. MASTERTON CLUB'S RINKS. The folowing rinks will represent the Masterton Bowling Club against the Featherston Bowling Club in the Booth Cup and Shield competitions on Saturday next: — Booth Cup. At Masterton: Thomson, Hughes. Nielsen, E. Reid (s); McCullough. Skeet, Perry, Ewington (s). At Featherston: Campbell, Beecroft. W. Hendry, Morton (s); W. Reid. Thurston, Hayne, Taylor (s). Shield. At Masterton: Gordon, Gleeson, Finlayson, Stubbings (s). (NOTES BY “THE BOWLER.”) On Saturday afternoon next the second round of the Both Cup and the Shield will be played, and the Masterton Club will meet Featherston. I wish to remind members of the Masterton Club that' on Thursday evening next, they will entertaiq the members of the Soldiers’ Club/ at a social evening to be held in the Soldiers’ Club. This is in return to the enjoyable evening, when the Soldiers’ Club entertained the Masterton bowlers a short time ago, and I trust that the bowlers will on this occasion attend in large numbers. There will be billiards, snooker and cards.
