. 4 SHEDS UNROOFED BY GALE. . FIRE AT HOMESTEAD. (“Times-Age” Special.) One of the heaviest gales ever recorded in the district was experienced yesterday reaching its height during the night. A number of sheds were unroofed as well as garages. Mr E. Burling’s motor garage was completely demolished. The telephone, lines are out of order, and communication by this means is seriously interfered with. Windows and skylights were blown in. Fire at Homestead. A fire occurred during the night when the homestead of Mr J. Riddell was discovered to be alight. A band of forty residents successfully fought the outbreak, and at midnight had the flames under control. Considerable damage was done to the house.
