GREYTOWN
DAMAGE DONE BY GALE. ORCHARDS SUFFER SEVERELY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The worst gale since the big storm some time ago raged in Greytown lastnight. The wind was at its highest at about 3 o’clock this morning. The barometer fell all day yesterday, the final reading being 29. The damage done to fruit orchards was very considerable, especially amongst cherries, plums and peaches. Personal. ' Mr and Mrs H, T. Rees returned home last night from a holiday spent at Hawera.
