NAZI VENGEANCE
SENTENCES ON AUSTRIAN OFFICERS. PUTSCH OF 1934 RECALLED. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, November 21. The Salsburg correspondent of “The Times” says that two former Austrian officers, Major-General Joseph Stochmal and Captain Frank Rosenkranz, have been sentenced to eight and six years’ imprisonment, respectively, for alleged conspiracy during the 1934 Nazi putsch (in which the then Chancellor( Dr Dolfuss) was murdered). They will later be charged with murder in connection with the mach-ine-gunning of Nazis who surrendered. Lieutenant-Colonel Ferdinand Celer was acquitted of conspiracy and remanded for a new trial.
