FUNERAL HONOURS

BURIAL OF KAMAL ATATURK GENERALS GUARD COFFIN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, November 20. “The Times” Angora correspondent says Ataturk’s remains were returned to the capital which he transformed from a village- into a modern city, in the presence of General Ineunu and members of the Cabinet and deputies. The gun-carriage escorted by six generals with bared swords on each side, and drawn by six black horses, bore the coffin, covered with a scarlet pall and a Turkish flag from the train to the catafalque. Members of Parliament followed through the streets lined with troops with bowed heads. Four generals and two privates will guard the catafalque all night as a procession of the populace files past.
