The news of Queen Maud’s death has caused sorrow throughout the nation. The newspapers were permitted to break the ban against Sunday publication. Crowds gathered before the Royal Palace, gazing at the half-masted Royal banner. King Haakon sent a message to the Bishop of Oslo: “The Queen has passed away. It is well to know that she is free from any more pain.” ' Prince Olaf is going to London. COURT MOURNING ORDERED BY KING GEORGE. (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 20. Their Majesties arrived at Buckingham Palace this evening. They had attended a church service in the village of Saint Paul’s, Walden (Hertfordshire). The King later commanded Court mourning until December 18.: King Haakon, after a talk with their Majesties, visited Queen Mary.
