CHAMPIONSHIP CONTESTS LAST SATURDAY’S PLAY. KEEN STRUGGLE AT THE PARK. The Wairarapa Cricket Association’s competitions were continued on Saturday in fine weather. The senior wicket at the College ground was in good order but that at the Park showed signs of wearing towards the close of play. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP RED STAR v. LANSDOWNE. The Red Star and Lansdowne teams commenced a match on the Park Oval, and at the end of the afternoon’s play the Lansdowne team was 10 runs ahead of the Stars. The scores are as follow:— RED STAR. The Odd Fellows just failed on time to secure the victory.
