WILD BOXING

CORBETT FALLS TO APOSTOLI. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. NEW YORK, November 19. Fred Apostoli won New York State’s' recognition as world middleweight champion by technically knocking outYoung Corbett in the eighth round. Corbett fell without being struck. He was in such pain from three previous knock-downs that he could not continue. Apostoli, who is 10 years Corbett’s junior, threw three punches from all directions. Many blows landed below the belt. Corbett was given the second round on a foul. Many writers consider that he should have been given three more.
