It is a mistake for British investors in undertakings concerned with New Zealand to regard the Labour Government as enemies, declares the “Investors’ Chronicle,” commenting on Mr Savage’s renewed asssurances that New Zeaalnd would honour her liabilities. Experience in Scandinavian countries has shown that it is possible for capitalists and Socialists to reach a working agreement. Nevertheless, until it is proved that New Zealand can afford her particularly expensive form of Socialism, New Zealand will be under a cloud.
