GOLF

LOCKE’S FINAL MATCH. MURRAY BEATEN TWICE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 20. The South African professional golfer, A. D. Locke, played the final match of his successful Dominion tour on the Middlemore links today. His opponent, A. J. Murray, was completely out of touch in the morning and with a round of 73, Locke was 6 up. A separate match was played in the afternoon and Locke had a stroke round of 74 to flush 2 up. Murray began brilliantly to be 2 up at the turn, but his opponent was too steady from that stage. A strong south-westerly wind and a drying course made low scoring difficult, and in the circumstances Locke played very well.
