ATHLETIC CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Featherston Amateur Athletic Club, Mr F. W. Smith stated he would not stand again as president, as he could not devote the time. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr G. Vincent; president, Mr A. McLeod; vice-presidents, Messrs F. W. Smith, J. Blain, J. Hyland, J. W. Card, M. B. Tait, F. O’Neale, H. Buck, J. Brydon, D. H. S. Riddiford, W. McGill, F. Yule, T. Hardie, R. F. Watson, W. Galbraith, E. E. O’Neale, W. R. Johnson, F. B. Brough, W. McKain, L. Lambess, W. Robinson, G. Cole, N. Perry, S. Kilsby, J. Brophy, C. W. Ritchie, W. A. Hodder, and Mrs E. Sim; hon. surgeon, Dr. G. S. Sharp; secretary and treasurer, held over, Mr C. W. Ritchie agreeing to act until the first committee meeting; delegates to Wairarapa Centre, Messrs A. McLeod and R. F. Watson. The club has a credit balance of £ll 7s Id in the Post Office Savings Bank. It was resolved to convene a meeting of the vice-presidents at an early date, when the question of holding a sports meeting will be considered and committees appointed. PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. ANNUAL MEETING. The Rev. R. S. Keenan presided over the annual meeting of the Presbyterian Church on Thursday night. Before commencing the business of the evening Mr Keenan moved a vote of condolence with the relatives of those connected with the church who had passed away during the year. The motion was carried in silence. The session report was read by Mr Arch. Clark (session clerk). The report showed that 14 new members had joined the church and five had been transferred. The communion roll stood at 76, with an average of 50 at communion. The manager’s report was read by the secretary, Mr Arch. Clark, and the financial report by Mr M. B. Tait. These reports showed a very satisfactory result for the year. Other reports read and received were P.W.M.U., Mrs S. Burt; Ladies’ Guild, Miss Yule; Sunday School, Miss Annie Fellingham; Sunday School, South Featherston, Miss Yule; Cross Creek and Pahautea Sunday Schools, the Rev. R. S. Keenan; Featherston Bible Class, Miss Jean Houston; South Featherston Bible Class, Miss Jean Burt; M.M.B. League, Miss Yule; Centenary Fund report, Mrs T. Tidswell. The following managers were elected: —Mesdames B. Donald and Arch. Clark, Miss Towart, Messrs M. B. Tait, J. W. F?llingham, J. Blain, T. Hardie, G. E. Yule, Duncan Wilson, Hayes, R. Sadler, Bruce Donald; auditor, Mr J. Blain. A general report on the year’s work covering Featherston and all the outstations, was given by Mr Keenan. A hearty vote of thanks was. carried by acclamation to Mr and Mrs Keenan on the motion of Mr T. Hardie for their devoted work for the church during the past year. At the conclusion of business two solos were rendered by Mrs Houston, Mrs Arch. Clark playing the accompaniment. A camp fire concert was given by the Bible Class members and Sunday School scholars; a mouth organ solo by Trevor Buck; a flute solo by C. Buck, and accordion items bj Phil Clark. RIVER BOARD ELECTION MR R. A. DONALD RETURNED The election for a members of the South Wairarapa River Board was held yesterday, the polling, which was as follows, resulting in the return of Mr R. A. Donald: — Mr R. A. Donald, 91 votes. Mr R. E. C. Crawform, 37 votes. Euchre Party and Dance. There was a good attendance at the South Featherston euchre and dance held on Thursday night. The card winners were: Ladies, Mrs B. Simmonds, 1; Mrs Cross, 2; Men, Mr Rae, 1; Mr Lepinskie, 2. Aggregate winners, Mrs Chisholm, and Mr R. Jepson. The Monte Carlo dances were won by Mr T. Ahipene and Miss P. Lawrence, and Mr and Mrs Bambry. Personal. Mr D. C.
