LAWN DERBY
ATTEMPT ON MILE RECORD NEXT MONTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Lawn Derby will not go to Dunedin, his trainer, Mr W. G. O’Shea, said this morning. Negotiations with the Forbury Park Trotting Club had broken down. He would be prepared for an attempt on the mile record on a grass track at New Brighton on December 3. The record is 2min. 4secs., set by Nervie’s Last.
