All possible, especially the young, must be rescued before it is too late. The “Daily Telegraph” says an active discussion is proceeding today between Mr J. P. Kennedy (American Ambassador) and Mr Chamberlain on the steps to be taken for the relief of German Jews. Mr Kennedy also consulted Mr Malcolm MacDonald. It is gathered that Mr Kennedy indicated that it was the imperative desire of the United States that constructive action should be taken at the earliest possible moment. “The Times” says the possibility of settling Jews in the Dominions or in Brazil was canvassed. OPINION IN GERMANY. MAJORITY SAID TO CONDEMN OUTRAGES. (Received This Day, 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, November 15. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says the American Ambassador, Mr Wilson will leave for New York tomorrow. English newspapers have again been confiscated. None have been allowed to circulate since the pogrom. Foreign correspondents have received through the post typewritten resolutions passed at a meeting held on November 13, “representative of all classes including members of the Nazi Party,” affirming that ninety per cent of the German people do not approve of anti-Jewish outrages and demanding the resignation of Dr. Goebbels.
