THE MAYFLOWER

MODEL OF FAMOUS SHIP PROPOSED. After over 300 years the Mayflower is in the news .again. An American historical society is to build a model of the famous ship and moor it at the very spot in Plymouth Harbour, Massachusetts, where the old Mayflower dropped anchor in 1620. A model in the Pilgrim Museum is to be copied, and the floating ship is to be an exact copy of the original. She will be 90 feet long, with a beam of 26 feet. Her tonnage will be 180. Pilgrims ot the 20th century will be able to go on board to inspect her.
