MEDICAL SERVICES
IMPROVEMENT IN FACILITIES IN CANADA. OTTAWA, Canada. Improved medical services provided by the Canadian Government, together with education in personal hygiene and sanitation, has brought about a decided improvement in the general health of the .Eskimo population in Canada’s northern boundaries. Noteworthy progress has been made in the correction of methods of feeding infants and elder children, with the result that happy-faced children now form a considerable portion of the steadily increasing native population. At Chesterfield and at Pangnirtung, both in the vicinity of the Canadian Arctic Circle, full-time medical officers and nurses are stationed at modern and up-to-date hospitals. In addition, medical officers of the Canadian Government visit all the outposts in the Canadian Arctic and render what aid is required.
