KNOX LADIES’ GUILD
FINAL MEETING OF YEAR. The members of the Knox Ladies’ Guild held their final meeting for this year at the residence of Miss McLaren, Renall- Street, Masterton, when there was a large attendance. In the absence of the president Mrs G. W. Morise, the Rev J. Davie presided.
Arrangements were made for the placing of flowers in the church during the ensuing months. Mrs Dickel, Misses Burling and Taylor offered to be responsible for decorating the church for the Sunday School anniversary services on Sunday. Mrs Gaskin conducted a successful “Bring and Buy” stall during the afternoon. A most enjoyable feature of the meeting was the interesting talk given by Miss Ractliffe, who has recently returned from a trip abroad. Miss Ractliffe spoke in an entertaining way concerning points of interest in various places she visited in the British Isles. After afternoon tea had been served Mr Davie moved votes of thanks to Miss McLaren and to Miss Ractliffe, which were carried by acclsamtion.
