TRADE TREATIES
CANADA AND UNITED STATES AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT THE ANGLO-AMERICAN NEGOTIATIONS By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) OTTAWA, November 11. The Prime Minister, Mr W. L. Mackenzie King has announced that the Canadian-United States trade pact had been completed. An announcement of the terms is likely to be made within a few days. It is indicated that the new agreement is based on broader and more comprehensive lines than were previously contemplated. It is expected that the Prime Minister will go to Washington next week, in order to sign the pact, and a simultaneous announcement will follow immediately. It is understood that the hitch in the British-United States treaty negotiations has been removed and that settlement is likely to be announced at the same time.
