CHINESE WAR ZONE
EXTENDED BY JAPANESE WARNING TO FOREIGNERS. WITHDRAWAL OF NATIONALS SUGGESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, November 9. The Tokio correspondent of “The Times” says that the Government has sent a note of warning to foreign representatives that the war zone in China has been extended to Shensi, Hupeh, Hunan and Kwangshi Provinces, from which nationals should be withdrawn and foreign property plainly marked. DEFENCE LINE BROKEN. CHINESE GARRISONS ISOLATED. (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) TOKIO, November 9. It is reported that the Japanese broke the centre of the major Chinese defence line protecting Changsha and occupied Tuncheng. The Chinese who are holding Siushui and Wunning are isolated.
