BOWLING
MASTERTON CLUB. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Bowling Club’s committee was held in the pavilion last night. The presi-. dent (Mr S. V. Gooding) occupied the fiiair, and there were also present Messrs Dunderdale, Daniell, Watson, Roberts, Lewis, Hayne and Vowell. Ar, apology for absence was received from Mr J. Campbell.
Mr Guthrie-Smith was elected c member.
Opportunity was taken to congratulate Mr G. Hayne on having been elected vice-president of the Wairarapa Centre.
The treasurer reported a credit balance of £46 0s Bd. The committee instructed the secretary to write to the green superintendent, Mr G. Beecroft, thanking him foi his report on the greens and expressing appreciation for the vast amount of work he had done and also on the condition of the greens. It was decided that a letter of thanks be forwarded to Mr A. J. Welch for r donation of a set of bowls. The thanks of the committee was expressed to Mr J. Russell for a donation of timber and paint.
