ANTLJEWISH OUTBURSTS IN GERMANY
WILD CHARGES AGAINST BRITISH PUBLIC MEN HELD LIABLE FOR PARIS CRIME By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) BERLIN, November 8. The “Angriff,” under the heading “Jewish Murderers and Instigators,” publishes portraits of Mr Winston Churchill, Mr A. Duff Cooper, Mr C. R. Attlee, Grynszpan, Herr Emil Ludwig and the Frenchman M Georges Mandel and declares: “It is not chance that while the Churchill group hypocritically manoeuvres and rearms a weapon goes off in the hand of a youth. Mr Greenwood’s miserable efforts are morally responsible for the Jews raising their revolvers against Germans. “The police announce that in the past few weeks they have confiscated from the Jews, 2569 daggers, 1792 firearms, and 20,000 cartridges. A new anti-Jewish wave has swept Germany as a result of the Von Rath shooting. In addition to the suppression of cultural performances, new bans have been imposed on all Jewish publications and meetings. Jewish children in future will be refused admittance to German primary schools. NAZI CONFERENCE INTENSIFIED ANTI-JEWISH DRIVE (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) , LONDON, November 8. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Berlin correspondent says Jews remained indoors through the day in fear of riots. Nazi leaders and Government officials are holding a conference tomorrow to draw up a plan for an intensified antiJewish drive. Meanwhile Jews are ordered to report daily to the police, and are forbidden to change their residence. A message from Paris states that Dr Von Rath’s condition remains critical. The bullets have not been removed. DISORDERS SPREAD MANY JEWS MALTREATED (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) BERLIN, November 8. Anti-Jewish disorders are spreading. The authorities ascribe them to “popular indignation against the shooting of Dr Von Rath.” Synagogues, shops and houses were stoned in numerous centres, and shopkeepers beaten up.
