Stock Exchange sales reported:— Bank of New South 'Wales (Sydney register), £3l ss; National Insurance Co., 16s; New Zealand Breweries, £2 0s lOd; New Zealand Paper Mills, £1 Is 9d; Imperial Chemical Industries (pref), £1 3s Old; General Motors(pref), £1 5s IJd. The New Zealand Stock Exchange Association has received cabled advice from Mount Lyell, Ltd. stating that a dividend of ore shilling, Australian currency, has been declared out of profits for the year ended September 30. The year’s profit amounted to £150,330, after writing off £73,556 for prospecting, development end depreciation and £19,283 for taxation. Messrs Morris Hedstrom also advise that an interim dividend of three per cent has been declared, payable on ordinary shares. The Jason Investment Trust has recommended a dividend of three per cent per annum for fifteen months, pro rata on the amount paid up per share.
