Trotting Club’s meeting opened today in fine weather With the track in a fast condition. There is a large attendance. The principal event today is the New Zealand Trotting Cup of £2OOO, over a distance of two miles. The race this year is not confined to a test of supremacy of New Zealand’s best pacers, for Australia is well represented in Logan Derby and Lawn Derby, two d£ ’ho Commonwealth’s best pacers.
