Voroshiloff, in a speech at the commemoration of the anniversary of the revolution, threatened “to crush our stupid Japanese neighbours if they again ventured on a provocation like that of Changkufeng.” He declared that the Munich pact was leading to a new imperialist war. In the presence of the German. Italian and Japanese military attaches, M. Voroshilov stated that Russia was not afraid of any combination of Soviet enemies.
Today’s military parade was the greatest in Russia's history. Thousands d f roops in modern equipment marchc r through the Red Square, followed by a gigantic civilian parade, in which two million participated.
