Indians wearing turbans and fezes, and Europeans, including Danes, Finns, Scandinavians, Rumanians and Greeks’, besides British subjects,. joined the Tanganyika League when it was launched at Arusha, with the object of maintaining British control. The league is to be extended to Kenya and Uganda. ATTITUDE OF GERMANS “STATE WITHIN A STATE” (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) DAR-ES-SALEM, November 7. The Settlers’ League states that Germans in Tanganyika are becoming a state within the State, disciplined from outside, and not considering that they owe loyalty to either Tanganyika or the Imperial Government. The German Government is stated to be enabling German coffee planters to sell their produce at prices considerably higher than those ruling on the open market
