CHURCH OF ENGLAND
MEN’S SOCIETY MEETING. There was a large attendance at the monthly meeting of St Matthew’s branch of the Church of England Men’s Society held in the Parish Hall last night, including visitors from Carterton and Eketahuna. A most instructive and illuminating address was given by the Rev W. F. Stent on,“The Great Pyramid—a Bible in Stone.”
Encouraging reports were received of the formation of new branches of the C.E.M.S. and of increases in membership. The serving of supper by members of the local branch brought a very happy evening to a close.
