CONSTABLE INJURED

ACCIDENT NEAR TINUI.

MOTOR-CAR LEAVES ROAD.

Constable W. Bacon, of Tinui, is in the Masterton Hospital as the result of injuries received when his motor-car left the road between Whakataki and Tinui and capsized in a cre’ek.

Constable' Bacon crawled out through a window of the wrecked car and sought the assistance of a passing lorry driver, who conveyed him to his home. He was later attended to by Dr. G. Cowie and then taken to the Masterton Hospital, where he is making good progress towards recovery. It was raining hard at the time of the accident.
