WOOL MARKET

LONDON MARKET FIRM By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, November 6. The firmness of wool prices is the outstanding feature in Bradford, but merino prices are still comparatively low. New business there is not completely satisfactory, although it is improving. Crossbreds are being increasingly employed for uniforms for troops and for underwear in Britain and in other countries, although a much higher consumption is needed before all machinery will be working at full capacity. Crossbred merchants are also selling raw material to the Continent, ensuring a better price than for tops.
