OTTAWA, Canada—Fresh fruits were imported into Canada to the value of 1,431,612 dollars in July, as compared with 1,906,527 dollars in the corresponding month last year. The United States supplied the bulk, amounting to 1,169,479 dollars; imports from Jamaica totalled in value 207,325 dollars. Canned and preserved fruits were imported to the value of 137,203 dollars, compared with 196,612 dollars in June, and 138,117 dollars in July, 1937. Australia was the leading source of supply, with a total of 49,077 dollars, followed by the Straits Settlements with 45,728 dollars, and the United States at 22,101 dollars.
