OBITUARY
MR P. H. C. HALFYARD. The death occurred at Masterton this ihorning of Mr Philip Henry Charles Halfyard, only son of Mrs Halfyard and the late Mr Henry Halfyard, of Albert Street, Masterton. The late Mr Halfyard, who was 37 years of age, had been in indifferent health for some months past. He was born in Eketahuna and was well-known in Masterton, where he was employed for some years in the hardware department of the W.F.C.A. Ltd. Several years ago he took over the managership of that department at the firm’s Eketahuna branch. He was a keen fisherman.
Mr Halfyard, who was unmarried, is survived by his mother, Mrs E. F. Halfyard, of Masterton and one sister, Mrs M. Hansen, of Nelson. The funeral will take place on Monday, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service Ltd., at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
