MOTOR SMASH
DEATH OF ONE VICTIM (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., November 4. Mr Claude William McDonald, hairdresser, Courtenay Place, Wellington, a married man, aged 31, died in the Palmerston North Hospital today as the result of injuries received in a motor-car ‘accident on October 29. Mr McDonald hit a post when endeavouring to negotiate a bend just north of the Ohau railway station. His car slewed over on to its wrong side and, after turning over four times, came to rest on the right side of the road about 200 yards past the bend. Mr McDonald received severe injuries to the face and head, and a passengei, Mr J. Houlihan (formerly of the Wairarapa) received cuts and shock.
