OPENED IN WET WEATHER LARGE ENTRIES IN STOCK SECTIONS. BEAUTY CONTEST ON SATURDAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. The Spring Show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association opened today in drizzling rain but with the weather tending slightly to improve after heavy rain. Entries are large in all sections of the stock classes and include many of the leading animals at the Royal Show. The exhibition closes on Saturday, when the final of the Miss New Zealand beauty contest will be decided at a carnival.
