CLASHES IN PALESTINE
FIVE MEMBERS OF GANG KILLED DEMONSTRATORS ARRESTED. STRIKE THREAT IN SYRIA. By Telegraph—r=ress Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) JERUSALEM, November 2. Troops searching a village north from 'Ramallah surprised a gang, of which five members were killed and two wounded. A Beirut,message states that fifteen Arabs were injured and forty arrested in a clash with the police while demonstrating against' the partition of Palestine. A general strike is advocated throughout Syria. Rioters stopped a funeral and burned the coffin on the roadside.
