LAMBING ESTIMATES
FIGURES FOR NORTH ISLAND (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Estimates of the current season’s lambing for the North Island were issued last evening by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon W. Lee Martin. He also supplied figures showing the estimates for the previous five years, together with the actual number of tailed. The figures, said the Minister, were of considerable value to stock and station agents, freezing companies, and farmers. In the past the estimates had been found to approximate reasonably the actual figures as disclosed by the number of lambs tailed. The estimated percentage of lambs for the North Island for 1938, is as follows:— Estimated
