A Wanganui resident has received an unusual envelope from Spain. The paper from which it is made is watermarked with brightly coloured stamp designs and is very thin. There are six postage stamps on it and, as well as the ordinary cancellation, there are three censors’ cancellations. The envelope had been opened and re-sealed with an official seal—mute evidence of the censorship now enforced in wartorn Spain.
