CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL

WAIRARAPA PLANTING SCHEMES Further reference to the district centennial memorial was made last night at a meeting of the Masterton Beautifying Society. Mr H. E. Gardner said a scheme was now being considered by the local bodies of the district for the planting of half a mile of highways adjoining all boroughs in the Wairarapa. This proposal would be further discussed at another conference at an early date. Mr Gardner also to the Wairarapa River planting scheme, and it was decided that the committee should meet between the Queen Street bridges on Tuesday next to consider the possibilities of this proposal.
