Miss Chisholm, o£ Masterton. is a visitor to Wellington. Miss M. Boyd, of Pahiatua, is on holiday in Wellington. Mrs J. Swanney, of Kaitawa, has Mrs F. Johnson, of Wellington, as her guest. Miss N. McHardy, Hawke’s Bay. is staying with her sister. Mrs D. B. Cameron, of Hinakura. Miss M. Diamond, Wellington, spent the weekend with Mrs J. E. Jenkins, Renall Street, Masterton. Miss Beiliss and Miss Jean Bellis, have returned to Masterton from a short visit to Plimmerton. Miss Barbara Haywood, Wellington, is spending a few days with Miss R. Harrison, Essex Street, Masterton. Major and Mrs C. W. Free, Paraparaumu, are visiting Mr and Mrs J. P. Perry, Essex Street, Masterton. Mr and Mrs R. Hardie (Feilding) and their infant daughter, 'are visiting Mr and Mrs C. T. R. Richardson, The Terrace, Lansdowne. Miss Peggy Sellar, Colombo Road, Masterton, who has been in Wellington for the Marsden School celebrations, is visiting Mrs R. Hogg, Eastbourne. Miss A. Shelton, B.H.Sc., domestic science mistress at the Wairarapa College, has been appointed senior mistress at the Rotorua High School, and will take up her new duties in February next. At the Baptist Church Assembly in Wellington this week Diplomas of Honour for long service in Sunday School work were presented to the following:—Mrs H. A. Bade (Berhamphore) 40 years; Miss M. Arthur (St Albans) 26 years; Mrs M. M. Turner (Mt Albert) 25 years; Mr Phil Turner (White Swan)'2s years; Mrs I. F. Turner (Mt Albert) 25 years. r
