AMERICANS CRITICISE JAPAN PURSUIT OF MONOPOLISTIC DESIGNS. FIGHTING BEYOND HANKOW. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, October 31. The Hankow correspondent of “The Times” says that Japanese, having taken over the policing of the concessions, including the British, the British and American naval patrols nave withdrawn. The Shanghai correspondent oi fne Times” says that American business approved the action of the United States toward Japan, and point out that Japan has launched a programme which is designed to oust American business from China. Britons long ago advised their home firms to similar effect. The Japanese, five miles from south Sienninr, are pursuing the Chinese, whose forces from Hankow are aligning themselves at Sinto, Puchi, Tsungyang, Wuning and Loki. The Peking correspondent of “The Times” reports that China is strongly protesting to Japan against the bombing of the American mission at Tungpei, which resulted in the killing of the three-year-old daughter of a missionary, Mr Arthur Myphus, and injuries to her mother and young sister.
