EKETAHUNA
TENNIS CLUB DANCE.
(“Times-Age’' Special.)
The Hastwells Hall was the scene of a most enjoyable function when the Hastwells Tennis Club celebrat’ed the opening of the season with a dance. There was a large attendance including visitors from Masterton, Mauriceville, Eketahuna, Kaiparoro, Carterton and other parts of the Wairarapa. Messrs J. Dick and R. Dick were M’s.C. and local musicians provided the music. Mr Thorby, president of the club, extended the thanks of the club for those who had attended and thus assisted to make the function such a success. A prize for the first couple on the floor Was won by Mr E. Smith and Miss Chambers, the Lucky Spot by Miss Koce and partner, the Monte Carlo dances by Miss P. Hooper and partner and Miss R. Ngatuere and Mr Williams, and the Lucky Gay Gordons by Miss M. O’Neil and Mr A. Elliott. Personal Items. Mr Wilkie Anderson, who has been seriously ill, is improving. The Rev. C. J. Armstrong,*who died recently at Brisbane, was formerly a resident of Eketahuna, where he was on the staff of the W.F.C.A. Mr G. Olsen, of Wanganui, is on a visit to his parents at Eketahuna. Plunket Nurse. Miss Tinkham, who has been appointed district nurse, will commence her duties this week.
