DRUNKEN MOTOR CYCLIST
FINE OF £lO IMPOSED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ October 29. George Thornton, labourer, aged 23, was convicted and fined £lO, his licence was cancelled, and he was prohibited from obtaining another for 12 months, by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Palmerston North, this morning, for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle. Thornton, who pleaded guilty, was allowed time in which to pay the fine.
