AID FOR UNEMPLOYED
EXTRA WINTER ALLOWANCE IN BRITAIN. (“Times-Age” Special.) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, October 21. From November 14 till the middle of April the Unemployment Assistance Board, in conformity with a policy inaugurated last winter, will pay additional winter allowances to those unemployed who, on review of their cases, are found in need of them — particularly applicants living in households where their resources consist mainly of unemployment allowances.
