SABRE COMPETITION
FIRST DOMINION TOURNEY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The sabre competition at the New Zealand Amateur Fencing Association’s first Dominion tournament was won this morning by G. S. Harcourt, of the Wellington Swords Club. Other placings were as follow:—J. Rose (Jenkins Swords Academy), 2; N. F. Turner (Auckland Swords Club), 3; G. S. Evatt (Wigram Fencing Club) 4; W. S. Elsom (Christchurch Swords Club) 5. In the women’s provincial teams competition, Nelson (Misses M. I-loulk-er, J. Logan, R. Mabin and Mrs E. Copp) beat Canterbury B (Misses M. Crespin, J. Stevens, B. Frye and N. Hitchcock), 14-2.
